WORC’s CEO is Appointed to the ILCEO Board of Directors
Earlier this year, WORC’s CEO and founder, Dr. Ellen G. Frank Miller, was appointed to serve on the Illinois Center for Employee Ownership’s (ILCEO) Board of Directors. Dr. Frank-Miller is thrilled to share her expertise and impact in the Employee Ownership community in this new role.
ILCEO’s central mission is to “expand awareness and access to employee ownership as a strategy for business succession, wealth building, and economic resilience” in Illinois and beyond. The nonprofit provides resources, hands-on guidance, and education to businesses about Employee Stock-Ownership Plans (ESOPs), the benefits of employee ownership, and how to effectively implement these tools while building wealth for workers.
This collaboration between ILCEO and WORC is the latest installment of an evolving partnership (check out our article on Dr. Frank Miller’s interview with ILCEO from a few months ago). Both organizations are strong voices advocating for employee ownership in the state of Illinois, and continue to build off of each other’s work in their practices.
As a board member, Dr. Frank Miller will serve alongside other esteemed voices in the field of employee ownership research and advocacy. At this important moment for employee ownership in Illinois and the country as a whole, the experience, expertise, and guidance of Dr. Frank-Miller and her peers serve to ensure that ILCEO’s work is always pushing forward.
